Clare Karasik, MSW, RSW

I am a Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist.  I offer trauma-informed psychotherapy to youth and adults over age 16.  My practice is LGBTQ2S+ positive and welcomes diversity. At this time I am only offering phone or video counselling, which is available to anyone living in Ontario. I use an encrypted video calling platform for those who prefer video calls.

If you are looking for a place to make new meaning out of your experiences, reduce the impact of challenging issues in your life, build self-confidence, cope with change, or shift repetitive stuck patterns, then psychotherapy may be supportive for you. Psychotherapy is meant to support you to feel better and make positive changes in your life. I recognize that seeking support can be intimidating.  My style is empathetic and collaborative. I approach therapy with non-judgement, curiosity, and transparency in order to create a space that can hold the complexities that may be uncovered in our work together. My hope is to support you in expanding self-awareness, re-authoring fixed life narratives, and achieving goals that are important to you.

Outside of my private practice, I work in a community-based setting providing counselling to survivors of abuse/violence.
